We have just returned from the British Championships in Spalding.  Sandy and Aidan both competed in the Youth classes - Sandy winning the Tolt and 4 gait on Orn and Aidan riding in his first oval track competition on Fifa did brilliantly!  Well done guys.

Frank also took Gjosta - who was quite clearly out of sorts and surprisingly was not showing much speed at all!!  But she is still on a very big learning curve and we are both pleased she just behaved!

We will be welcoming Oddrún Ýr Sigurðardóttir, a highly respected teacher and judge from Iceland to Etal on 6th - 9th August.

Odda is a wonderful teacher who can help both the rider and horse sympathetically.  Odda has taught in Etal before and is always highly recommended by those who participate on her courses.

We played host to our first 'All-Ride' competition last weekend.  The event was a great success and all the riders

 participating had a wonderful time.  The event is made up of four disciplines: a timed & vetted endurance ride, obstacle

 course, gallop time test and oval competition.

The Carson boys all did well, with Sandy coming out as the overall winner with Orn and Aidan and Fifa finishing in a great

 3rd overall!  Well done guys.

Our eldest son, Sandy has been selected to represent Team GB at the FEIF Youth Cup in Denmark this July. 

   Sandy will ride Gjafar at the tournament and we wish him all the best for his fantastic

 adventure!  Many thanks to all our family and friends who are helping make his trip to Denmark a memorable one!  

We are very proud of you Sandy! x

Foal number 2 from Trur has arrived - that's 2 fillies now - a long wait for number 3 - not due until August!

We are now at an end of the winter fun and the tolt series has come to an end!  All the results are now posted online.  A big thank you to the riders who took part in the series and all their support.

Frank and his mare Gjosta came out on top in the March A final and the overall Series and Sandy was a worthy winner of the Youth Series title.  Well done to them both.

Well....winter is truly holding out to be a cold and snowy one!!  The horses don't seem to have much to complain about - they are simply loving this weather!
